A LITTLE CLARITY
Our privacy note.
How we understand visits to Olumi, and what happens if you choose to hear from us.
Understanding visits
We run our own measurement on this website. It records pages viewed, approximate active time, scroll depth, buttons and links clicked, products added to a bag, and attempts to continue through checkout. Random browser and session IDs help us connect these actions. They identify a browser profile, not your name.
We record campaign codes such as a video referral link, the first landing page, and the previous website’s hostname when your browser shares it. We do not record typed form content, keystrokes, payment details, full external page addresses or raw IP addresses in these events. Email addresses are kept separately from browsing events. If you request a launch email after Checkout while measurement is enabled, we save the checkout reference and referral details with that request.
Your measurement choice
You can turn off anonymous measurement on this browser. The shop and bag continue to work. We also respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control when your browser sends them. These controls stop future collection; they do not delete earlier records.
Storage and retention
Visit events go directly to Olumi’s Cloudflare Worker and are stored in Cloudflare D1 for up to 180 days. The private reports are restricted to the Olumi team. We do not use Google Analytics, PostHog or advertising pixels for our measurement. The separate YouTube player is described below. Cloudflare operates the site and may process connection data, including IP addresses; our abuse limits use short-lived hashed counters. Its services can process data internationally.
Your browser saves a random browser ID and your bag until you clear them, a session ID with a 30-minute inactivity window, and first-touch campaign details for up to 90 days. Unsent events may remain in session storage for up to 24 hours. If storage is blocked, features use temporary memory where possible. Your separate video source may also travel in links while you browse.
Video on the About page
The About page includes a video from Zermatt Neo’s YouTube channel, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player. It loads when the video comes into view and may play muted. If you use reduced-motion, data-saving or privacy settings, it waits for you to select Play video. You can pause it at any time.
When the player loads, your browser connects to YouTube, which can receive connection and playback information under Google’s privacy policy. This is separate from Olumi’s own measurement. Turning off our measurement makes this video click-to-play; choosing to play still connects to YouTube.
If you leave your email at checkout
After the availability reveal, you can ask for one email when the products in your bag are ready. We save your email, chosen products and quantities, the item prices, consent wording and request dates. If measurement is enabled, we also save the checkout reference and referral details. Turning measurement off does not prevent you from requesting this email.
This is a notification request, not an order. We do not take payment or verify the email address at this step. These requests are stored separately in Cloudflare D1 and removed after 180 days without another request. Your email is not saved in browser storage or included in anonymous measurement events. We use it only for the first-batch availability email you requested, with no other marketing.
If you choose launch updates
When signup opens, we collect your email, whether you are interested in hydration, fibre or both, and any optional note. Please leave sensitive personal information out of your note. We also keep the referral code, consent wording and signup, confirmation and unsubscribe dates.
Your place is confirmed only after you click the confirmation link in your email. We use these details to confirm your signup and email when the drinks are ready. Waitlist records are stored in Cloudflare D1, and messages are sent through Cloudflare Email Sending. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops future updates; we keep the unsubscribe record to honour that choice.
